What brings negativity into our lives?
As a concept, it can be said that negative thoughts constitute images, ideas or even words expressed in a mental or verbal way, which is not positive for our health, and of which most of the time we are not aware, but rather arise in a spontaneous way automatic.
According to research, during the day we generate around 60 thousand thoughts, of which about 95% are involuntary, consecutive, and of these, 80% turn out to be negative.
We could ask ourselves how and why they arise? However, there is no absolute answer to this question, since they derive from what was learned during childhood and adulthood: the messages, gestures and even silences that are received from the environment in which we live. Thoughts are part of our mental map, joined to which are our values, beliefs, meaning attributed to experiences, in short, everything that differentiates us from other human beings and that determines our perceptions of the context that surrounds us and the world in general.
The reality is that thoughts, as is known, generate our emotions, bringing both physical and mental repercussions to our health. Negative thoughts, in this case, lead to emotions like fear, frustration, anger and rage, etc. Negativity can cause anything from throat problems to cancer, or the acquisition of unhealthy habits, psychosomatic illnesses manifested through headaches, joint pain, among many others, precisely because the mind makes the body sick.
If these negative thoughts prevail over time, changes in behavior also appear, increasing the chances that the person will begin to have certain addictions.
The fact is that the body suffers with the emotions. It has been proven that individuals who always remain in suffering or do not accept certain realities of their lives, can develop cancer, respiratory problems, cardiovascular problems, etc., even more so if they do not show it and hide their feelings.
For these reasons it is important to know that the challenge is in ourselves, not in external factors, because having negative thoughts and emotions leads to not only affecting the spiritual factor, but also the physical one, so it is essential to recognize not only if we are having a tendency to negativism, but also if we are surrounding ourselves with negative people that affect our well-being and happiness.
