An Emotional Support Animal (ESA) may provide comfort and emotional support to individuals experiencing disability-related symptoms.
At South Florida Arts & Counseling, ESA letters are considered only when clinically appropriate and based on an established therapeutic relationship.
ESA letters are not guaranteed and require clinical review by a licensed mental health professional.
If you are a current or eligible client, you may submit a request for review.
Your privacy and trust are important to us. All information shared is kept confidential.
Clinical Review Required
ESA letters are issued only when clinically appropriate and supported by a licensed mental health professional's assessment. Each request is evaluated individually based on your specific needs and circumstances.
New & Existing Clients Welcome
Individuals interested in requesting an ESA letter may schedule an appointment for clinical evaluation. Eligibility is determined through the therapeutic assessment process and is not guaranteed.
Fee $105
ESA letters are available as a letter-only service for eligible clients. South Florida Arts & Counseling does not complete third-party forms, certifications, registrations, or guarantee approval by housing providers or other organizations.
Important Information
• An Emotional Support Animal (ESA) is not the same as a service animal. Emotional Support Animals do not require specialized training to perform tasks and do not have the same public access rights granted to service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
• Final decisions regarding housing accommodations, travel accommodations, employment accommodations, or other requests are made by the applicable housing provider, airline, employer, educational institution, or requesting organization.
• ESA letters are intended solely to document a clinical opinion regarding the therapeutic benefit of an emotional support animal and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of accommodation approval.
“Our pets are like emotional gurus. They often sense what others cannot, bring laughter when life feels heavy, provide companionship when we feel alone, and offer comfort during times of uncertainty.
Their presence can help us feel calmer, more connected, and supported. In many ways, they remind us of the healing power of unconditional acceptance, loyalty, and love.”
